We've Traveled the World. Now we're Home.
Updated: Jun 13
It is quite remarkable to look back upon the last few years. Through The NWC, CLOUD Projects, Tugolo and A Closer World, You have been by our side as we have traversed the globe to bring you truly authentic and unique adventures that make a difference in the places we visit. You joined us in Haiti, Dominican Republic, Kenya, Uganda, Colombia and more. Together, we supported English schools and orphanages and stayed in an eco-treehouse. We built houses and schools, rode horseback into the sunset, and danced the night away in small rural communities. We volunteered at a home for disabled orphans and watched the wildlife spectacle that is the great migration unfold right in front of our eyes. We outfitted a primary school with internet and computers, and we swung from vines a hundred feet above a secret swimming hole. And all along the way, we were inspired by the people we met, the memories we made, and friendships that will last a lifetime.
While our global journey has been remarkable, it is nice to be home… And being home has laid bare an opportunity that has been here the entire time: the opportunity to explore hidden gems, take incredible adventures and make lifelong memories in our own backyard… particularly because our backyard is Ontario, Canada – one of the world’s greatest playgrounds.
40 degrees Celsius in the summer, and -40 degrees in the winter. 250,000 lakes and more than one-fifth of the entire world’s freshwater. The rocky Canadian shield, peaks at 700 meters above sea level, the world’s largest freshwater island, beavers, deer, the great gray wolves, moose, black bears, polar bears, great blue herons, almost 500 species of birds and the eastern massasauga rattlesnake (wait, what?).
But, like any playground, there is one thing that makes Ontario truly special: the people who help us explore it - safely and responsibly.
In only a few short weeks, our team has spoken and met with (digitally, of course), countless inspiring people who have dedicated their lives to providing exceptional experiences to those who choose to travel in Ontario. We have also spoken with countless Ontarians who have lived in Southern, Eastern, and Western Ontario their entire lives, who have decided that now is the time to truly explore the magic that’s been right here the entire time.
And so, we want to take this opportunity to introduce Joya Travel & Lifestyle. We’ve been stuck at home for months to keep everyone healthy, but now it’s time for a change of scenery. Joya Travel & Lifestyle is a magical experience provided by people who love what they do. It’s authentic, unique and right here in your own backyard. And right off the bat, we have added what everyone has asked us for: a COVID-19 travel advisory for every accommodation, experience and adventure, so we can do our part to help the Ontario travel industry recover from COVID-19, safely and responsibly.
And finally, for those who are wondering when we will expand our offerings beyond Ontario, into the rest of Canada and across the globe: we will continue to monitor the situation and adapt as best we can. Stay connected with us, and we promise to help you find that travel feeling where you want to go, safely and responsibly.
From all of us here at Joya Travel & Lifestyle, thank you. Let’s make some memories a little closer to home.
Welcome to Joya Travel & Lifestyle.
